Siloam Springs, Ark. – The Columbia College men's soccer team was back in action tonight when they traveled to Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to take on John Brown University. The 20
th ranked Cougars defeated the Golden Eagles by a final score of 2-1 and are now 4-0 on the season.
The Cougars had a rough start as the Golden Eagles shot a deep ball into the net in the first 14 seconds for the lone goal of the half. Columbia came out aggressive in the second half but it wasn't until the 76
th minute when
Nick Brandt buried one in the bottom left corner of the net from the six yard line that they were finally able to knot the score at one. The matchup looked like it was destined for overtime but John Brown got called for a hand ball in the box which set up a penalty kick for the Cougars.
Casey Bartlett-Scott secured the victory for Columbia with the PK goal in the 88
th minute.

Ryan Harrisskitt was in goal for Columbia, posting four saves on the night.
The men's soccer team is back in action on Wednesday, September 11
th when they host Benedictine College. The game is set to kick off at 7:00 p.m. on R. Marvin Owens Field.
