Columbia, Mo. – The 15
th ranked Cougars were at the top of their game when they hosted the Central Baptist (Ark.) University Mustangs in a conference matchup tonight. The Cougars defeated the Mustangs 82-50 and are now 13-3 on the season and 9-1 in conference.
The Cougars owned their home court tonight coming up with 30 points while holding the Mustangs at just ten with
Jordan Alford leading the way in the first quarter. The second quarter was a quiet one with each team only adding seven-points apiece and Columbia maintaining their 20-point advantage.
The Cougars showed up in the third quarter, going on a 12-4 run in the final seven minutes to extend their lead to 32 points. Central Baptist left it all in the court in the fourth quarter scoring just as many points as Columbia, but the Cougar advantage was just too big for the visiting squad.
