Columbia, Mo. - Tonight the Columbia College men's basketball team hosted the Central Christian College of the Bible in a nonconference matchup. The Cougars defeated the Eagles 96-61 and are now 7-7 on the season.
The Cougars were first to get on the board, but the Saints were quick to take the lead from them. Columbia responded by tying the game at nine which then fueled them to a 14-point lead halfway through the first. Central Christian College of the Bible was able to cut it to just nine at halftime.
The Cougars had complete control of the second half as they outscored the Saints 51-25 for the 35-point victory. Casius Bell Jr. had a career high scoring 25 points in the game.
