Columbia, Mo. – This afternoon, the Columbia College men's basketball team hosted Lindenwood (Ill.) University-Belleville in a conference matchup. The Cougars defeated the Lynx 83-38 and are now 8-7 on the season and 4-4 in conference play.
Jack Fritsche had a great start, scoring nine of Columbia's first 11 points. Columbia was at the top of their game defensively not allowing Lindenwood to put one in the basket for eight straight minutes, and only allowed seven points in the final seven minutes of the half while scoring 13 points themselves.
The Cougars had complete control of the second half as they extended their lead to 48-points with under four minutes left in the contest to cruise to victory.
