St. Louis, Mo. – The men's basketball team was back in action tonight as they traveled to St. Louis, Missouri to take on the Harris-Stowe State University Hornets in a crowded Silverthorne Arena for an AMC contest. The Cougars fell to the Hornets 85-72 and are now 12-8 on the season and 7-5 in conference play.
 
The Cougars did not only face a tough team, but a tough crowd tonight. Harris-Stowe rallied early in the game scoring 11 unanswered points three minutes into the half. The Cougars edged their way back into the game closing the gap down to nine by halftime.
 
Columbia came back from the locker room hungry for points, but Harris-Stowe kept sinking in three's every time the Cougars attempted to close the gap and sent the Cougars home with their first loss of 2020.

Harris-Stowe took flight early on going on a 15-2 run as Columbia's defense was not able to keep up.
