Columbia, Mo.- The 15th ranked Columbia College women's basketball team hosted the Hannibal – LaGrange (Mo.) University Trojans in an AMC matchup this afternoon. The Cougars were victorious against the Trojans by a final score of 101-44 and are now 17-3 on the season and 13-1 in conference play.
Senior Raegan Wieser needed just three more three-pointers to hit 200 made three-point baskets for her career, which she hit in the first half. Raegan is the fifth Cougar women's basketball player to reach this milestone.
Today's win also marks career victory No. 100 for the four-year senior class of Raegan Wieser, Jordan Alford, Mai Nienhueser, and Grey Hayes. Only four other NAIA programs have four-year seniors to reach the century club milestone this year.
The Cougars went to right to work as soon as they stepped on the courts, turning an early 10-2 lead into a 46-17 advantage at the break. Columbia came out of the locker room eager to continue the momentum from the first two quarters and extended their lead to 42 points. The Trojans could not fend off the determined Cougars as they cruised to victory.
