Fulton, Mo. – Tonight the Cougar men's basketball team was on the court in Anderson Arena in Fulton, Missouri, home of the Owls from William Woods University. The Cougars stayed focus throughout the game to defeat the Owls, 59-54, and are now 14-8 on the season and 9-5 in conference play.
The Cougars took flight early in the first half taking advantage of the Owls turnovers to score 16 points off of them and stay ahead of William Woods before the break.
The Owls found their way back into the game five minutes into the half when they took their first lead of the contest, which the Cougars were quick to take back. William Woods stayed right behind Columbia, but despite their best efforts, the Cougars had scored enough points in the first half to hold on for victory.
