Cougars Outscore Spartans by 31-Points

Columbia, Mo. – The Cougars got another chance against the Missouri Baptist University Spartans tonight as they hosted them in an AMC contest. Columbia stepped up their game, defeating the Spartans 88-57 and are now 17-9 on the season and 12-6 in conference.
 
The Cougars had a rough start as the Spartans pulled away from them seven minutes into the half to have their largest lead of 10-points only eleven minutes in. Adam Mennemeyer took the reins after Columbia tied it at 28 scoring four points to get the Cougars back on track heading to the locker room with a six-point lead.
 
Columbia stayed hot going into the second half sinking basket-after-basket to go on a massive 14-2 run, to take their largest lead of the game. Missouri Baptist attempted the comeback, but the Cougars proved to be too much for the Spartans and took off with the win.

The Cougars held the Spartans at just two points while netting ten points at the beginning of the second half boosting their confidence to keep racking up the points.
