Belleville, Ill. – The 15
th ranked Cougars traveled to Belleville, Illinois to take on the Lindenwood-Belleville Lynx in an AMC matchup today. The Cougars Defeated the Lynx with a final score of 60-57. They are now 21-5 on the season and 17-3 in conference play.
The Cougars started strong to get on the board first and were able to hold onto their lead by one to end the quarter. Columbia went on an 11-point scoring run, pushing ahead and went into the half time with a score of 33-27.
The Cougars jumped into scoring to start the third quarter with an 11-2 run. The Lynx retaliated with their own run to close the gap and trailed by just four to end the third quarter. With the Lynx finding their footing, the score was tied at the 2:40 mark, but the Cougars would once again gain the edge and find a way to win.
