Justin Randle got the Cougars rolling by scoring the first run of the inning followed by
Bradley Prebay's double to right field that scored three Cougars with no outs. A sac fly followed by a hit to right field brought two more Cougars home. (CC-9, UJ-0)

Turning Point Game 1
Three hits and a Cougar error in the top of the 9
th scored three Wildcats while two groundouts and a fly out sent the Cougars away with the loss.

Columbia had a strong start to the game with four hits to score three runs that allowed them to cruise through the game to victory.

Individual Leaders Game 1
Reid Browning was on the mound for Columbia and struck out seven batters and only allowed one run in 5.1 innings of play. Prebay and
Connor Gage had two hits apiece while Bealmer had the only RBI and
Hayden Ludwig scored a run.

Individual Leaders Game 2
Chris Wall was the starting pitcher and only allowed one hit in 6.0 innings of play while striking out 13 batters. Prebay led the way offensively with three hits in four at bats with a run scored and 3 RBI. Bealmer and Gage had two hits apiece and two RBI each as well to round out the top performers.

The Cougars will continue play in Joplin, Missouri tomorrow, February 22 as they take on Culver-Stockton (Mo.) College at 3 p.m. and then play against Graceland (Iowa) University following the conclusion of the first game at Joplin High School.
