Columbia, Mo. – The 15
th ranked women's basketball ball team hosted the Stephens (Mo.) College Stars in an AMC matchup for senior day. The Cougars defeated the Stars with a final score of 111-31. The Cougars are now 23-5 on the season and are 19-3 in conference play.
The Cougars started on a 23-2 run to start the game and rolled from there, leading by 47 points going into the half, 57-10.
Columbia continued their relentless scoring sprees, to bring their lead to 70 points. The Stars did their best to defend the overpowering offense of Columbia but the home team was just too much to handle.
In addition to outscoring the Stars by 80 points, the Cougars also drained a record breaking 21 three-pointers in the contest. 21 breaks the old record of 19 that was set and tied during the 2016-17 season.
