Cougars Shut Out Eagles

Box Score Walnut Ridge, Ark. – In their first American Midwest Conference matchup of 2020, the Columbia College women's soccer team earned their second win of the season against Williams Baptist University on Saturday afternoon, 8-0. The Cougars are now 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.

The Scoring
The only first half goal was kicked in by Mallory Holzer, assisted by Jewel Morelan, (1-0).
Emilia Zolesio Fernandez Blanco scored the first goal of the second half, assisted by Delfina Zolesio Fernandez Blanco, (2-0).
Seconds later, Jewel Morelan and Allison Floyd added unassisted goals to the Cougar lead with 34 minutes on the clock, (4-0).
Delfina Zolesio Fernandez Blanco captured a goal of her own extending the lead, (5-0).
With 20 minutes left in the game, Abigail Meyer scored, (6-0).
Jewel Morelan connected again for Columbia, extending the Cougar lead, (7-0).
Chloe Hall secured the final goal of the match in the 83rd minute, (8-0).
