Columbia, Mo. – In their first AMC matchup of the season, the Columbia Cougars hosted the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange University. The Cougars swept the Trojans 3-0, moving to 5-1 on the season and 1-0 in the AMC.

After obtaining an early 7-6 advantage, the Cougars proceeded to carry out their lead for the rest of the set.

Set 2: Columbia 25 | Hannibal-LaGrange 14
The Cougars went on an early 7-0 run and did not look back. Columbia grabbed an 11-point lead, the largest of the match.

Set 3: Columbia 25 | Hannibal-LaGrange 18
Columbia threw down 13 kills with a .355 hitting percentage in the third set compared to the Trojans .171 hitting percentage.
