Oskaloosa, Iowa – The No. 22-ranked Columbia College volleyball team extended their win streak to 12 with a pair of 3-0 wins on Saturday.
Columbia (18-4) vs. Peru State (3-19)
Set 1: Columbia 25 | Peru State 14
The Cougars jumped out to an 8-4 lead and never looked back. The Cougars extended their lead to a first set-high nine points (21-12) after a kill from Danielle Prior. CC hit .316 in the opening set.
Set 2: Columbia 25 | Peru State 9
In set two, the Bobcats raced out to a 4-0 lead, but CC scored 15 of the following 16 points. After a point by Peru State, the Cougars went on an 8-0 run, extending their lead to 21-6. CC's defense held the Bobcats to a -.095 attacking percentage, forcing seven errors on 42 attacks and allowing just three kills.
Set 3: Columbia 25 | Peru State 9
CC rattled off the first seven points of the final set, highlighted by three service aces from Luisa Ferreira. The Cougars defense continued to shine, holding Peru State to four kills on 24 total attacks and a -.125 hitting percentage.

Set 1: Columbia 28 | William Penn 26
The Cougars led 24-19 when William Penn scored the following five points to tie the set at 24-24. With the game tied at 25-25, CC scored three of the following four points, capped off by back-to-back kills from Sidney Branson, to take the first set.
Set 2: Columbia 25 | William Penn 20
Leading 20-16, the Cougars went on a quick 3-0 lead to take a 23-16 advantage. The Statesmen got back within three points (23-20), but CC scored the final two points to go up 2-0 in the match.
Set 3: Columbia 25 | William Penn 21
CC went on a 5-0 run early in the final set to go up, 9-3. William Penn battled back to with one point (18-17), but the Cougars would regain control with a 3-0 run. Columbia scored four of the final five points to earn the sweep.
