Baseball Falls to Central Methodist

Fayette, Mo. – The Columbia College baseball team dropped a game at No. 4 Central Methodist (Mo.) on Tuesday evening.

The Scoring
T1 – Kenny Piper led off with a double and scored on an RBI single by Kendrick Delima. Dalton Bealmer added the second run on a passed ball. (CC 2, CMU 0)
T2 – The Cougars added another run on an RBI bunt single by Hayden Ludwig. (CC 3, CMU 0)
B5 – The Eagles scored five runs on four hits. (CC 3, CMU 5)
T7 – Wyatt Towe scored on an Eagle error. (CC 4, CMU 5)

Turning Point
A five-run fifth inning was all the scoring Central Methodist needed.

Individual Leaders
Luke Miller, Noah Skaggs, Pharon Pilgrim and Conner Darnell combined to go 2.1 innings of shutout baseball. Kenny Piper and Kole Ficken led the offense with two hits each.
