Batesville, Ark. – The Columbia College women's volleyball team earned their second-straight sweep, defeating Lyon in three sets on Friday evening. The Cougars improve to 14-6 overall. 

Columbia def. Lyon, 3-0
Set 1: Columbia 25 | Lyon 18
After Lyon jumped out to a 3-1 lead, the Cougars scored seven straight points, taking control of the set. The Scots cut the deficit down to 9-7, but six of the following seven points went to the Cougars. Columbia recorded the final three points for the set win. 

Set 2: Columbia 25 | Lyon 11
The Scots led 3-2 in the second stanza before Columbia went on a roll scoring nine straight points, highlighted by three service aces from Ellie Rockers. The Cougars led by as many as 14 points in the set. 

Set 3: Columbia 25 | Lyon 19
The final set was the most competitive. After Lyon's point made the score 11-10 in favor of Columbia, the Cougars responded with six of seven points to increase the lead to 17-11. After back-to-back points from Lyon, Columbia tallied the next four to open the set up at 21-13. The teams would trade points the rest of the set.
