Marshall, Mo. – The Columbia College baseball team extended their win streak to a season-high 11-straight with a doubleheader sweep against Missouri Valley.

The Scoring – Game 1
T1 – The Cougars came out swinging with an eight-run inning thanks to three home runs. (CC 8, MVC 0)
B1 – The Vikings answered back with a run. (CC 8, MVC 1)
T2 – Justin Randle scored on a sac fly by Jarrett Newell, and Kole Ficken hit his second home run of the game. (CC 10, MVC 1)

T4 – The Cougars added four more runs, highlighted by a Brad Prebay three-run home run. (CC 14, MVC 4)

The Scoring – Game 2
T1 – For the second time in the last three games, Kenny Piper homered on the game's first pitch. Brad Prebay walked and later scored on an RBI ground out by Kendrick Delima (CC 2, MVC 0)
T2 – David Dell crossed home plate on a wild pitch (CC 3, MVC 0)
T3 – Another RBI ground out by Delima and an RBI single by Jarett Newell increased the Cougar lead (CC 5, MVC 0)
T4 – The Cougars added three more in the fourth on an error, RBI hit by Dalton Bealmer and a fielder's choice (CC 8, MVC 0)
T5 – Kenny Piper knocked a 3-2 pitch over the left-field fence for a grand slam (CC 12, MVC 0)
T6 – Piper hit his second grand slam in as many innings over the left-field fence. (CC 16, MVC 0)
B6 – The Vikings ended the shutout with a pair of runs (CC 16, MVC 2)
T7 – David Dell hit an RBI single, and JP Schneider sent a 3-1 pitch over the left-field fence for a three-run home run. (CC 20, MVC 2)

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Kole Ficken, Justin Randle, Jarrett Newell, Dalton Bealmer and Brad Prebay hit home runs for the Cougars, as Ficken and Randle hit two apiece. The Cougars had 16 extra-base hits, led by Brad Prebay, who had three doubles and a homer. Seven players had at least three hits, while Prebay and Ficken led the way with five and four hits, respectively.
Travis Bassford earned the win, tossing three innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits and walking one. Alex Grellner pitched a scoreless seventh inning, striking out a game-high two hitters.
Game 2 Individual Leaders
Kenny Piper led the way, going 4-for-4 at the plate with nine RBIs, three home runs and four runs scored. Dalton Bealmer, David Dell and JP Schneider added multi-hit games for the Cougars. Dell and Piper scored a game-high four runs each.
Tanner Beatty got the win going 2.1 innings on the mound, allowing one hit and no runs and striking out three.
