Fulton, Mo. - The No. 3-seeded Columbia College volleyball team pulled off an upset win over the No. 2-seeded William Woods Owls on Thursday night. The Cougars advance to their first AMC Tournament Championship since 2018. 

Columbia def. William Woods, 3-1
Set 1: William Woods 25, Columbia 21
The Cougars started out strong, scoring six-of-the-first-eight-points. The Owls battled back and held a 14-10 advantage. The two teams were even through the rest of the first set, as William Woods won, 25-21.

Set 2: Columbia 25, William Woods 20
The two teams continued their even play, as they were tied at 9-9 in the beginning of set two. The Cougars used a quick 4-0 run to take a 19-16 lead. The Owls climbed back within 20-18, but four-straight points by Columbia gave them a comfortable lead. 

Set 3: Columbia 25, William Woods 17
Through the first 30-points of the third set, the two teams were nodded up at 15-15. The Cougars caught fire and scored eight-of-nine points to take a 23-16 lead. After a point by William Woods, The Cougars tallied the last two points. 

Set 4: Columbia 25, William Woods 17
Columbia carried over the momentum and jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the fourth set. Columbia held an advantage of at least four-points, including leading 15-10. The Cougars used a 6-1 run to cruise to the set and match win.
