Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College softball team extended its win-streak to 28-straight with a 7-5 win over William Woods in the American Midwest Conference (AMC) postseason tournament.
The Cougars are now 32-5 on the season.
The Scoring –
T1 – The Owls scored an unearned run. (WWU 1, CC 0)
B1 – Taylor Barnes scored on a William Woods error. (WWU 1, CC 1)
B2 – Carli Buschjost and Taylor Barnes had RBI hits (WWU 1, CC 3)
B3 – Skyler Kauble doubled down the left-field line, scoring Emily Dove. (WWU 1, CC 4)
B4 – Mackenzie Kasarda singled to the left, bringing home Carli Buschjost. (WWU 1, CC 5)
T5 – The Owls added another solo run. (WWU 4, CC 5)
B5 – Avgustina Arbova and Kaylie Kaufman crossed home player for the Cougars. (WWU 4, CC 7)
T7 – An RBI single gave William Woods another run. (WWU 5, CC 7)
Individual Leaders:
Skyler Kauble led the team with three hits, while Taylor Barnes, Mackenzie Kasarda, Allison Keen, Kaylie Kaufman and Carli Buschjost had two hits each.
