La Crosse, Wisconsin - The No. 23-ranked Columbia College Cougars traveled to Wisconsin to compete in the 2022 Days Inn Fall Classic hosted by Viterbo University. The Cougars saw their 14-match winning streak snapped in a 0-3 loss to Montana Tech, before dropping their next contest to the hosts, Viterbo. 

#18 Montana Tech defeated #23 Columbia, 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-23)

The Orediggers of Montana Tech led from start to finish in this match. Columbia led in aces (4-2) and blocks (6-4), but was otherwise outplayed in kills (35-45), assists (28-42), and digs (45-50). 

Sude Gundogan led the Cougars with 11 kills, while Danielle Prior, Beyza Bektasoglu, and Allana Capella all finished with six, respectively. Ellie Rockers contributed 12 digs, and Luisa Ferreira finished with 26 assists and nine digs. 

#8 Viterbo defeated #23 Columbia 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-23)

The Cougars played the V-Hawks close the entire match as they out-blocked Viterbo 6-3. The V-Hawks led in kills (50-37), aces (6-3), and digs (58-48). 

Allana Capella finished with eight kills, while Sude Gundogan and Danielle Prior each had seven. Luisa Ferreira dished out 29 assists to go along with 10 digs. In the libero jersey, Ellie Rockers picked up 10 digs.
