McPherson, Kan. - The No. 24-ranked Columbia College softball team defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan this afternoon in the McPherson Classic, 3-2.
 
The Cougars improve to 8-8 on the season. Oklahoma Wesleyan falls to 10-6.

The Scoring:

• T2 (OKWU) – A solo home run put the Eagles on top by one. (CC 0, OKWU 1)
• B4 (CC) – Athena Wheeler had a homer of her own, tying the contest at one apiece. Bringing in two RBI's, Avgustina Arbova put the Cougars on top with another home run. (CC 3, OKWU 1)
• T6 (OKWU) – An RBI for the Eagles brought in another run. (CC 3, OKW 2)

Individual Leaders:

• Avgustina Arbova led the Cougars with two RBI's.
• Taylor Barnes recorded two hits in the contest.
• Avgustina Arbova and Athena Wheeler each documented a home run.
