Oklahoma City, Okla. – The Columbia College men's soccer team took on the #6 Evangels of Mid-America Christian University today in non-conference action. A physical contest, the Evangels (5-1-0) scored twice to take the 2-0 win over the Cougars (2-1-2).
The Cougar offense struggled to get going in the match.
Diego Navia found two shots on goal, but both were stopped by the Evangels defense.
The Evangels got on the board early, with a goal in the first ten minutes.
Columbia continued to play tough, with more shots from
Jackson Schrum,
Luke Hynes, and
Ethan Blake.
Mid-America Christian found themselves at the penalty line in the 87
th minute where they scored their second goal of the match.
