Mesa, Ariz. - The Columbia College men's golf team wrapped up their 2022-23 season this week as they competed in the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship at the Las Sendas Golf Club Course. Due to a weather delay, the Cougars were forced to finish their first round on day two, before immediately playing round two on the same day.
Giacomo Comerio shot a 74-74 (148) through the first two rounds, qualifying him to advance to rounds three and four; Comerio was the only Cougars to advance to the final rounds.
Cameron VanLeer finished with a 153, shooting 80-73.
Pedro Marchioni followed with a 157 (80-77), then
Sean Minor with a 160 (83-77), followed by
Kanon Kendrick with a 160 (83-77).
As a team, the Cougars final two-round score stood at 615, placing Columbia just six-strokes off the cut-line. Columbia was led by
Giacomo Comerio who finished in 68th place, shooting 74-74-76-80 for a 304.
