Des Moines, Iowa - The Columbia College men's soccer team traveled to Iowa to take on the Vikings of Grand View University. A physical battle that saw 23 total fouls, the game would go the way of the Vikings as the Cougar defense struggled to contain Grand View's offense as GVU collected 10 first half shots to just four from CC. 

The Cougars got on the board first just under 10 minutes into the game as Luke Hynes found the back of the net, marking the second consecutive game that he has scored in. 

At the 25' minute mark, the Vikings leveled the game after scoring a goal of their own. 

Fourteen minutes later, a defensive breakdown from the Cougars saw the Vikings convert again, taking the lead 2-1. 

Just before the half, the Vikings would score their third goal to lead 3-1. 

Neither team scored in the second half as the Cougars outshot the Vikings 3-1. 

Caden Hof finished with four saves in goal. 

Columbia is back in action next Wednesday, the 13th, when they travel to take on Central Methodist University.
