Columbia Earns Draw Against William Woods

Columbia, MO - The Columbia College men's soccer team earned a draw against the Owls of William Woods University tonight at R. Marvin Owens Field. 

The Cougars, now 3-0-1 in conference play, will now prepare to host American Midwest Conference rival Missouri Baptist University on Saturday, October 19th. 

The first half saw both teams trading possession with only three shots on goal being managed from each team, respectively. 

The Cougars found more energy in the second half as they would out-shoot the Owls 18-2 in the final 45-minutes of play. Although multiple shots ricocheting off of the cross bar and posts, the Cougars were unable to find the back of the net as the game would end in a draw, 0-0. 

Cameron Watts brought a spark of energy off of the bench as he finished with five shots, as Julio Gonzalez followed with three. 

In goal, Alejandro Molto Munoz moved to 7-2-3 as he recorded three saves to keep the score level.
