ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The (RV) Columbia College volleyball team took on the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy (Mo.) on the road this evening, defeating the Eutectics, 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-12).
The Cougars improve to 18-10 on the season and 7-0 in the American Midwest Conference (AMC).
In the opening set of play, Columbia went on an early 6-0 run against Health Sciences and Pharmacy. The Cougars put down 12 kills, earning their highest hitting percentage of the match at .235.
In set two, the Cougars continued to outperform the Eutectics in kills, 12-7.
Columbia cruised through set three, only allowing their opponents 12 points.
The Cougars outhit the Eutectics 36-16.
Mariana De Carvalho led Columbia with seven kills, while
Allana Capella produced six.
Isabella Kincaid served two aces.
Agatha Emanuelle and
Alayna Rooks each recorded three blocks.
Hannah Vogt contributed 11 assists, while
Alexa Olson dished out 10.
Taylor Johnson added 10 digs.
Columbia returns to action for a Halloween matchup against the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange at 6:00 PM.
