Henderson, Tennessee - The Columbia College baseball team traveled to Freed-Hardeman University for a four-game weekend series today and tomorrow. FHU, ranked #25 in the NAIA, came into the series with a 17-3 record.
In game one, the Cougars launched three home runs to take the 6-3 upset win.
In game two, both teams traded big innings all the way until the ninth. Columbia scored twice in the top of the ninth to tie the game at 13-13, but FHU managed to score in the bottom of the ninth, taking the 13-12 win.
The split moves the Cougars to 14-9 on the season, while the Lions move to 18-4.
