No. 24 Baseball Wins in Walk-Off Fashion, Stay Alive in NAIA Opening Round

KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The No. 24-ranked Columbia College baseball team earned a walk-off win against Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) this morning, 6-5, staying alive in the NAIA Opening Round.

The Cougars improve to 38-15 on the season.

  • The Cougars scored three runs on three hits in the first inning, taking a 3-1 lead over the Lions
  • Columbia walked in a run in the fourth inning to take a 4-1 advantage

  • Down 5-4 heading into the bottom of the ninth, Indy Stanley and Tyler Renn recorded back-to-back hits to put runners in scoring position
