COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 12-ranked Columbia College women's soccer team took on No. 24-ranked Missouri Valley College in their home opener this evening, shutting out the Vikings, 1-0.

The lone goal of the game came in the 69th minute, as Macie Lucas found the back of the net off a corner kick from Delfina Zolesio Fernandez Blanco, also assisted by Ayanna Clarke.

Columbia took 14 shots in the contest, compared to 11 from Missouri Valley.

Alba Vigo captured her second win of the season in goal.

Columbia is back in action as they take on (RV) Campbellsville at home on August 29 at 4:00 PM.
