Shortly after that, Delaynie Brown registered her first goal of the season off of another assist from Riley Porter, giving the Cougars a very early 2-0 lead.

The Golden Eagles would end up out-shooting the Cougars in the first-half, 4-3, but goalkeeper Natalie Allison registered three saves to keep the score at 2-0 at the half.
