NEVADA, Mo. - The No. 25 ranked Columbia College volleyball team took care of business on the road in American Midwest Conference (AMC) action this evening, defeating Cottey College (Mo.), 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-16).
Columbia improves to 9-8 overall and 2-0 in AMC play.
The Cougars began the match with four-straight points, including three kills of their 13 kills produced in the set. Columbia went on to take the first set, 25-21
Columbia improved their hitting percentage in sets two and three at .265%, while also gathering 14 kills in each set.
Allana Capella led Columbia with nine kills in the contest (.571), while
Katerina Pappa and
Mariana De Carvalho followed close behind with eight apiece.Â
Hannah Vogt totaled 13 assists on the night, while
Alexa Olson contributed nine.
Mariana De Carvalho led the Cougars with 18 digs, two service aces, and two blocks.
Columbia returns to action hosting the CC Tri-Match taking on Ottawa University (Kan.) and No. 19 Central Methodist University (Mo.) on Septmeber 30.
