Women's Soccer Opens AMC Play with 7-1 Victory Over Eutectics

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The (RV) Columbia College women's soccer team opened American Midwest Conference (AMC) action with a dominant 7-1 victory over UHSP this afternoon. The Cougars improve to 5-4-1 overall and 1-0 in conference.

Georgia Pardalos led the offensive surge with two goals and two assists, while Izzy Cole added two goals of her own. Hannah Shylanski, Kourtney Blatz, and an own goal rounded out the scoring for Columbia.

The Cougars seized control early, building a commanding 6-1 halftime lead behind six first-half goals. The Eutectics tallied their lone goal of the contest in the opening period.

Columbia outshot the visitors 19-6 and dominated possession throughout, earning seven corner kicks to UHSP's zero. Goalkeeper Natalie Allison earned the win with three saves in the first half, while Abbie Summers added one save in the second.

The Cougars return to action on Monday, October 13 taking on cross town rival, Stephens College (Mo.) at 6:00 p.m. for the annual Meet at the Marv event.
