St. Louis, MO - The Columbia College women's basketball team traveled to the campus of the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy today for an American Midwest Conference matchup.
Mallory Shetley had herself a night as she hit two career landmarks, first with her 15 made field goals marking a program high, secondly with her 32 points moving her into the elite club of 2,000 career point scorers.
The Cougars jumped out to a 24-17 lead after the first quarter, but were outscored 21-19 in the second.
Leading by five at the half, 43-38, the Cougars used a massive 31-point third quarter to lead by 24 at the end of the third, 74-50.
Both teams would score 23 points in the fourth as the Cougars earned a 97-73 win, moving the team to 22-2 overall and 16-2 in AMC play.
Shetley led the Cougars with 32 points on 15-19 shooting, adding seven rebounds and two blocks.
Lexi Miller and
Mya Miller both followed with 16 points each, respectively.
Freshman
Ashtyn Klusmeyer continues her stellar first season, finishing with 13 points and six rebounds.
Abby Backes was near a double-double as she totaled nine points and eight assists for the Cougars.
