Westfield, Indiana - The Columbia College men's lacrosse team ended their two game road series today with a loss to the 10th-ranked Cardinals of Concordia University.
The Cougars, now two games into their seven away games to open the season, will play again on March 5th against #9 Lawrence Tech, followed by a matchup against #4 Indiana Tech just two days later.
It was a back and forth contest that saw the Cardinals hold a slim 9-3 lead at the half.
The third quarter saw Concordia score six unanswered goals to build a 15-8 lead before
William Rusk scored to stop the run.
Trailing by nine late in the game,
Drake Morrissey and
Zach Baker each scored to cut the deficit, but it was not enough as time expired to a 21-14 win for the Cardinals.
