Columbia, Mo. - The Columbia College baseball team stepped out of conference play today for a matchup against the (RV) Pioneers of MidAmerica Nazarene University.
After trailing 7-2 after the top of the second, the Cougars scored in every inning until a three run home run blast from
Tyler Renn ended the game in the bottom of the eighth, 18-8 in favor of the Cougars.
The Cougars improved to 27-5 with the win, while the Pioneers fall to 20-9.
Columbia is back in action this week with a conference series against the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange University.
