Columbia, Mo. - The Columbia College softball team took on the Comets of Cottey College today in a conference doubleheader at home.

After splitting the series last season and then falling to the Comets in the conference tournament, the Cougars were looking to get back in the win column. 

Columbia dominated in game one and earned an 8-0 win in five innings. Cottey took the early lead in game two, but the Cougars scored seven unanswered runs to win 7-3. 

The Cougars are now 18-8 overall and 9-1 in conference play and will play again on Tuesday, April 8th, at Stephens College.
