Columbia, MO - The Columbia College men's soccer team played host to the Warriors of Midland University today at R. Marvin Owens Field.
Midland scored early and fast, quickly jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first 30-minutes of the game.
The Cougars recorded nine shots in the contest while the Warriors finished with 14.
Bruno Saucedo nearly notched his first goal of the season at the 60-minute mark, but a deflection off the crossbar halted the goal.
Midland scored two more goals to take a 6-0 lead with 20-minutes left to play.
The Cougars were fouled inside the box, setting up a penalty kick that was put away by
Faraj Shee for his first goal of the season.
As time expired, the Warriors claimed the 6-1 win.
Columbia goes on the road this weekend for a two-game stint that starts with a match up against the University of Science and Arts on Saturday, September 13th at 7:30PM.
