OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The (RV) Columbia College men's soccer was unable to break through against 19th-ranked Mid-America Christian in a 2-0 road defeat on Monday evening.
The Evangels struck early, finding the net just over a minute into the match. Mid-America Christian doubled their advantage before halftime at the 30:09 mark, which also deemed the last goal of the match.
Despite generating eight shots, Columbia struggled to create quality scoring chances, managing just two shots on target.
Mid-America Christian outshot Columbia 15-8 and held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Columbia returns to action at home on September 20 to take on (RV) John Brown University (Ark.) at 2:30 p.m.
