Columbia, Mo. - Columbia College volleyball improved to 6-11 overall and 5-1 in conference play with a dominant 3-0 sweep of Harris-Stowe (25-11, 25-19, 25-20) on Monday afternoon in St. Louis.
The Cougars came out strong in the opening set building an early lead and never looking back. Columbia hit an impressive .444 in the first frame while holding Harris-Stowe to a -.069 attack percentage to cruise to the 25-11 victory.
Mila Zoric led Columbia's offensive attack with 9 kills on a remarkable .615 hitting percentage, while also contributing 1 block solo and 3 block assists.
Emma Breier added 8 kills, and
Viola Giangreco chipped in 7 kills.
Hannah Vogt orchestrated the offense with 18 assists while adding 2 kills and serving an ace. Alexa Olson contributed 13 assists along with 2 kills and 2 service aces.
Defensively, Taylor Johnson anchored the back row with 16 digs, while Emma Faulconer added 8 digs and a service ace.
The Cougars will look to keep building on this momentum in their next match set for tomorrow Sept. 30th against UHSP at 6:00 p.m.
