Springfield, Mo. – The Columbia College women's basketball team had six players score in double figures as the Cougars battled back from a 10-point second quarter deficit for an 81-57 win at Mission University on Thursday in Springfield, Mo.
Columbia won its 13th-straight game to improve to 24-1 and 15-0 in the American Midwest Conference (AMC), while Mission fell to 12-13 and 7-8 in the AMC.

Tori Rubel (10 points, 10 rebounds) scored in double figures for Columbia, which had 24 assists in the win with a 56-33 rebounding advantage.
Columbia limited Mission to just 2-of-16 shooting from the field to start the game as the Cougars held an 8-4 lead through the opening seven minutes. The Patriots closed the first quarter on a 9-0 run to take a 13-8 advantage. Columbia went cold down the stretch, missing its final 12 shots and finishing the quarter 3-of-17 from the field.
Mission's run carried into the second quarter, as the Patriots scored the first five points to extend the lead to 18-8 with 8:28 remaining before halftime. Harman came off the bench and sparked Columbia, scoring nine straight points to key a 17-3 surge that allowed the Cougars to regain the lead, 28-23, at the break.
Columbia limited Mission to 26.5 percent shooting (9-of-34) from the field and held a 31-20 advantage on the boards. Harman led the way with nine points on 4-of-5 shooting.
Friedrich's three-pointer with 6:33 left in the third quarter gave the Cougars their first double-digit lead of the game at 41-30. Columbia maintained the advantage and carried a 50-42 lead into the final quarter.

Lexi Miller's 3 highlighted a 9-1 run as the lead grew to 64-47.
Lexi Miller hit her first three of the game to make it 62-47 with 6:55 to play.
Miya Nieto had a game-high 21 points for Mission, who hit just 7-of-18 (38.9 percent) from the free-throw line in the loss.
The Cougars host Senior Day on Saturday, February 14, against Central Baptist College with tip-off set for 1 p.m.
