Ayanna Clarke's late equalizer salvaged a point for the Cougars.
Columbia (5-1-2) controlled much of the run of play, out-shooting Science and Arts (3-4-1) 14-7 on the afternoon, including a 9-4 edge in the first half. Despite the pressure, neither side found the net before the break.
Science and Arts broke the deadlock first. After winning back-to-back corner kicks, Chiara Schillinger buried her first goal of the season in the 49th minute off an assist from Ilse de Jong to make it 1-0.
The Cougars answered late. Working off a corner kick from Georgia Pardalos, Clarke leveled the score in the 80th minute for her first goal of the year, pulling Columbia even at 1-1 — a score that held the rest of the way.
Charlie Williams made three saves in goal for Columbia across the full 90 minutes, while Cato Hilgenkamp turned away two shots for Science and Arts.
The Cougars held the edge on corner kicks, forcing seven to the Drovers' three.
With the draw, Columbia moves to 5-1-2 on the season and remains unbeaten in three matches, while Science and Arts falls to 3-4-1.
The Cougars hit the road next, traveling to face No. 16 John Brown University on Sept. 19 at 2:30 p.m. in Siloam Springs, Ark.
