Cougar women shut out Lyon, improve to 7-1 in AMC

Box Score Columbia, Mo. - The Cougar women's soccer team picked up a 3-0 shutout win over Lyon (Ark.) College on Saturday afternoon, marking their fifth consecutive victory dating back to September 26th. With the win, Columbia improves to 10-2-1 overall on the season and 7-1 in the American Midwest Conference (AMC).

The Cougars got a pair of early goals in the first period and took a 2-0 advantage into the halftime break. Tori Magaletta got the scoring started with her sixth goal of the season with just over five minutes gone by in the opening half. Freshman Carlie Howe followed with her fifth goal of the season in the 10th minute.
