Box Score Columbia, Mo. - The Cougar women's soccer team won its seventh consecutive game on Wednesday night at R. Marvin Owens Soccer Stadium, defeating non-conference opponent Lindenwood University-Belleville by a score of 8-0. Columbia improves to 12-2-1 overall with the victory, their tenth shutout of the 2013 season.
Senior
Stephanie Hale put Cougars on the board early with her team-leading 15
th goal of the year at the 2:13 mark. She would add her second goal of the match in the 18
th minute for a 2-0 Columbia lead and
Kelly Ross followed with a pair of goals in the 31
st and 34
th minutes. Hale capped off a first period hat trick with a goal in the 35
th minute, sending the Cougars into the halftime break with a lead of 5-0.
Tori Magaletta scored less than two minutes into the second half to make it 6-0 in favor of Columbia.
Kelli Westhues and
Rylee Bruhn each added a goal over the remainder of the period to complete the scoring.
Erica Ramirez and
Flavia Rosado combined for the shutout in goal for the Cougars, who outshot the Lynx 18-7 on the night. Ramirez was named the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Defense Player of the Week on Monday for the second time this year as well.
Wednesday night's contest also marked Columbia's final home game of the 2013 regular season. Hale, Bruhn and fellow seniors

Elise Castellanos were honored prior to game time for Senior Night. The Cougars will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, October 26
th when they travel to conference foe Hannibal-LaGrange University. With a win, the Cougars will secure home-field advantage throughout the AMC Postseason Tournament. Match time is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. in Hannibal, Mo.
