Top-seeded Cougar women set to host Freed-Hardeman on Nov. 8th

Parkville, Mo. - The Columbia College women's soccer team has earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming American Midwest Conference (AMC) tournament after claiming the league's regular season championship in just the second season in program history. The Cougars (13-2-1) capped off a 9-1 conference campaign with a 4-0 victory at Hannibal-LaGrange University on Saturday and have won eight straight games dating back to September 26th.

Columbia will host Freed-Hardeman(Tenn.) University, the tournament's No. 8 seed, on Friday, November 8th at 6:00 p.m. at R. Marvin Owens Soccer Stadium. With a win, the Cougars would advance to the tournament semifinal game on Monday, November 11th. The remaining quarterfinal games include No. 7 seed Benedictine-Springfield at No. 2 Park, No. 6 Lyon at No. 3 William Woods, and No. 5 Hannibal LaGrange at No. 4 Missouri Baptist.
