Box Score Mobile, Ala. - The Columbia Cougar women's soccer team dropped their season opener to the University of Mobile tonight by a score of 1-0. The Cougars move to 0-1 on the season, while the Rams improve to 1-0.
The Cougars were outshot by the Rams 21-9, and couldn't find the back of the net in their 4 shots-on-goal. The Rams' Katie Compton connected for the game winner in the 51
st minute. The Cougars had one last shot with two minutes remaining, but their corner kick and shot by
Katelyn Palmer was saved by the Rams keeper to secure the win.
Flavia Rosada (0-1) took the loss in goal for Columbia. She posted 8 saves in the contest.
The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to 9
