Columbia, Mo. – This afternoon the NAIA national office announced the third regular season Women's Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Cougars, who cracked the top five for the first time in the programs history in the first regular season poll, remained fifth after defeating Lindenwood University-Belleville (Ill.) and Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) University last week to improve to 7-0 on the season.

The Cougars have been on fire to start the season as they have outscored their opponents 25-3 in their first seven games of the year. They currently rank second in the NAIA in total shutouts (5), eighth in shutouts per game (0.710), 15^th in total goals (25), 17^th in total assists (18), and 26^th in goals per game (3.570).

Columbia College has been led by Laurie Frew who ranks in the top 25 in five different offensive categories. She currently sits fourth in the total game winning goals (3), 11^th in game winning goals per game (0.430), 12^th in total goals (9), 14^th in total points (20), and 25^th in goals per game (1.29). In addition to Frew, Kelsey Mirts has also been having a great season as she sits 16^th in the NAIA in game winning goals (2), 18^th in total points (18), and 25^th in total goals (7).

The Cougars are back in action tomorrow, September 20^th when they travel to St. Louis, Missouri, to take on Harris-Stowe State (Mo.) University in the an AMC matchup. The game is set to start at 2 p.m.
