Montreat, N.C. – This evening the Columbia College men's lacrosse team was back in action as they traveled to Montreat, North Carolina to face off against the Montreat College Cavaliers. The Cougars dropped to the Cavaliers by a final score of 16-10. Columbia moves to 2-4 on the season.

After the first quarter of play the game was tied at 2 early. In the second quarter each team continued to find the net, but Columbia would be outscored 6-3 as they found themselves trailing 8-5 at halftime. The Cougars looked to battle back coming out of the break. In the third they were able to find the cage twice while adding three more goals in the fourth quarter. However, they were unable to stop the Cavaliers offense as they hit four goals in each the third and fourth quarters to win 16-10 over the Cougars.

For the Cougars, Sam Crum (3), Jeremiah Lerch (3), and Cooper Heck (2) all had multiple goals. Henry Stauffer and Kellen Brechbill each added one goal apiece. Carson Morrissey had a team high three assists this evening.

Columbia College is back on the field Thursday, March 29^th when they travel to Savannah, Georgia to take on Savannah College of Art and Design. The game is set to face off at 5:00 p.m.
