Box Score Sioux Center, Iowa - The Columbia women's soccer team defeated Dordt (Iowa) College on the road on Saturday afternoon by a score of 7-0. With the win, the Cougars improve to 3-0-1 on the season.
Senior
Lauren Beishir put the Cougars in front early with her first goal of the year just 50 seconds into the first half.
Carlie Howe and
Tori Magaletta would add their first scores of the season in the opening period as well, giving Columbia a 3-0 lead at the halftime break.
The Cougars continued to dominate on into the second half as
Stephanie Hale scored in the 51
st minute for a 4-0 Columbia advantage. Junior MacKenzie Knepper added to the blowout with a pair of goals in the 78
th and 80
th minutes. The two scores were Knepper's team-leading fifth and sixth goals of the campaign. Sandra Mendonca sealed the victory with a goal in the 81
st minute and the Cougars would finish off the shutout victory over the final minutes.

Erica Ramirez and freshman
Flavia Rosado combined for the shutout in goal for Columbia. Freshman
Taylor Hagenhoff had three assists in the win for the Cougars as well.
Columbia is back on the road on Tuesday, September 10
th when they travel to Missouri Valley College for a non-conference contest. Match time is set for 6:00 p.m. in Marshall, Mo.
