Henderson, Tenn. – The Columbia College men's and women's cross-country teams competed in the Freed Speed Open Meet today in Henderson, Tenn. The 18
th-ranked men's team placed first out of nine teams in the 8K run, while the women's team placed fourth out of eight teams in the 5K.
Columbia's
Michael McCulloch was the top Cougar runner on the men's side in 3
rd place (26:55).
Tyler Lawson finished 5
th (27:04),
Tommy Skosky finished 6
th (27:04),
Brennan Cape was 7
th (27:06),
Seth Schenck placed 9
th (27:22), and
Alex Slater came in 18
th place (29:07). There were 67 runners in the event.
Emily Shultz finished first for the Cougar women, placing 12
th with a time of 20:25, while teammate
Julia Montgomery crossed the line in 20:40 for a 17
th place finish.
Madison May finished 20
th (21:04),
Lydie van Deursen placed 25
th (21:24), and
Rachel Davis finished 29
th (22:30). There were 65 runners in the event.

th. The men's race will start at 5:00 p.m. while the women will begin at 4:00 p.m.
